What students say about me
Jason was always kind with his way of teaching, but also strict at the same time. He gives me a sufficient amount of homework and respects my requests on how I'd like to proceed with the classes. I am extremely satisfied with all he did for me in the short amount of time we had together!

What is music without some fun in it? Among the many things I do in a lesson, my top priorities are to help students find fascination and inspiration in their instruments and music!
Practical
There is deeper meaning when we know not just the what, but the why and the how. My students will be able to apply everything they learn immediately by making real music.
Music
I believe that music happens when a student finds magic in the sounds they make and even more magic when sharing that music with friends and family and collaborating with other musicians.
What do I teach in my holistic approach?
As both a musician and teacher, I approach music holistically. There is much more to making music beyond playing your notes and singing your songs. I am a strong proponent of developing my students into versatile musicians. This way, I believe, you can have the most fun doing music!
Learn to hear the emotions of music. Then speak it.
Posture
Save yourself from muscle overuse and injuries. I’ll keep reminding you!
Sightreading
Read music as easily as you read English!
Technique
Exercises so that you can play challenging music with ease.
Ear Training
Jealous of people who know the chords by ear? That’ll be you soon!
Composition
Apply your theoretical knowledge and write your own music!
Improvisation
Have fun. A lot of fun. Many funs. You’re gonna love this.
Collaborative Arts
Communicate non-verbally and know when to shine or support.
What students say about me
One thing I loved is that he always keeps the mood up. Every beginner makes mistakes but the key is not to be afraid of it, and he really helped with this. Time flew away in class and I always ended up smiling and feeling that I made progress since the last time. I consider myself very lucky to have met Jason as a person and as a teacher!

I had the privilege of having Jason as my Professor for Intro to Music Theory! Although I came in with no music experience whatsoever, it was great to have a Professor who took the time to go over things I did not understand. Without his help and guidance I would have not been able to make it through the class and now I have a better understanding of music theory overall. Highly recommend taking lessons from Jason and supporting his YouTube videos. So much you can learn from them and super easy to understand!

I was Jason’s student a few years ago, he taught me how to play the flute and the guitar. I absolutely loved working with him; our lessons together were the highlight of my week! He makes it so easy to learn and has an extremely encouraging teaching style. I definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone!!

How much do I need to practice to get good?
The most important aspect of practice is not the amount of time but the quality of that session. So, to give you a short answer, 2 minutes. 2 minutes of quality practice everyday is all you need!
